Early morning bus ride to a provincial capital. Grab my sandwich and coffee, as well as three plastic bags with other food. Get on the bus and sit comfortably in a soft chair. A man from the minority tribe in Phu Lao, Northern Laos, making a rice pad from young bamboo tree. The hands worked fast, and the creation was born already after five minutes of conversation about Lao-Lao. Which is a typical Lao moonshine made of rice and sipped through long straws put into clay pot.
