It is impossible, I can tell you.
Astonished and ashamed I am looking at the date of our last cringel.com update, which was January 28th, or 9 days ago.
If that was my job, and I should explain my boss what happened and what are the reasons for not updating the site, I would probably not have any explanations.
Well, deep in my heart I know the reason - we were too lazy.
But our trip is more vacation than a job, and the shame is slowly, but safely giving away its position to quite a new feeling to us - the understanding that things, such as productivity, drive, ambitions, action, aren't what one should always try to be proud of.
Achieving something always leads to the situation where you have to put up new goals and horizons, otherwise the "progress" will stop. Sucked in such a whirlpool, many fail to realize that it is equally important to sometimes stop and think where are you rushing, enjoy the simple and pay attention to small, but joyful details.
The career will wait.
Already now we feel that we are becoming more calm and relaxed, trying to blend in the local culture and environment, rather than trying to confront it or make it adapt to your own rules. As Tapio says - when you are in Thailand, the clock should be left at home.
Learning from it, I think that we will update the site when we feel that we have something to say, instead of trying to do it on a regular, but boring basis.
To make it easier for visitors, I very much welcome everybody to subscribe to cringel RSS feeds, as this will automatically let you know when the site has been updated. Or, if you don't know what RSS is and how to use it, click on this link. That should be a good start.
Do that, and you will not miss anything from our journey, which is becoming more and more interesting!

Hi friends!
Here I am - sitting with a laptop in Bruxelles sick and talk show with dead Ann Nicole Smith is on the CNN :)
I very much enjoyed this part of your text (surprisingly it did not receive any comments yet):
"quite a new feeling to us - the understanding that things, such as productivity, drive, ambitions, action, aren't what one should always try to be proud of." Good that you understand it:) Regarding text vs. images: i must say I like your texts a lot. I can even say that you have... hmmmmm... some talent :), so how about a book afterwards? :) Images are nonetheless warmly welcomed.
Just wonder how it feels being in Thailand, when they are bombing southern part of the country - do you notice at all that this is happening? And I still have that musical frog from Thailand you gave us as present - it is very cool to play it after the joint:))) Hugs and keep going!
Beeping like insane
Hi, MrX,
it's nearly impossible to write a comment - the Vietnamese on the street are beeping and honking their car/motorbike horns like crazy. Utilizing the capacities fully, as the guys back at the office would say.
Still, thanks for the positive comment. Maybe you overestimated my text writing abilities a little bit, but who knows, maybe there'll be some kind of a book after travels. Or at least a photo album.
Thailand felt perfectly safe. Better than back home, actually. No sound or sight from the Southern part reached us, neither in Bangkok, nor Ko Tao or Ko Samet.
Hope you are having fun with Anna Nicole. After that, don't forget to come back here. Will post at least quarter of a hundred images from Vietnam today by the time of afternoon.
