Ok, folks, show and tell time.
Will start with tell.
When we have the road repairs going on back home, the street is a mess, there are tractors and bulldozers all around, destroying everything they can.
When the work's finished for the day, heavy machinery stays in places, with the engines turned off, waiting for the next day to begin.
In Singapore, during the road repairs, it is active as well:
Road repair and construction works in Singapore
But just take a look at how clean and tidy it is when the day is finished:
Road construction is over for the day, Singapore
There's a single thing that makes me feel at home though. The ratio of road construction workers that actually work, to those simply loitering (or giving orders, which is the same) is 1 : 2

ratio
this ratio is incresing dramatically. Someone has photo of one street reconstruction, where where there are 20 or smth workers in 0ne place. All will fluorescent jackets. And only 5 working. Other 15 smoking, poking and else ... View was amazing. Need to find that photo.
