Lone flower living in a field of crops, Nepal

Departing to Nepal, I imagined to see grey rocks and more rocks and then some.

Arriving here I see a diversity of plants, birds, and even wild monkeys for the first time in Asia.
The land, even though not so colorful at heights more than 3000 meters in the northern part, is very green and thriving otherwise. And we still haven't been to the tropical Terai part.

Yes, I do watch Animal planet, Discovery channel and National Geographic.
No, I don't know where did I catch this wrong stereotype.
