Showing off the new mobile phone with integrated video playback on a bus from Luang Nam Tha to Huay Xai, Laos
Early morning bus ride to a provincial capital. Grab my sandwich and coffee, as well as three plastic bags with other food. Get on the bus and sit comfortably in a soft chair. Take out my brand new mobile phone and show off a little bit. Just so that those neighbours know that I'm no fool and my husband earns good money.
What could be better?
Showing off the new, video enabled mobile Nokia... Ooops, NOKLA phone on a bus from Luang Nam Tha to Huay Xai, Lao
Well, the phone.
If it was a real Nokia.

oh c'mon. :) really avesome. Just wrote post about chinese brands. Asia is hell of a plagiator. And why not. When you don't need that much progress, since you don't need central heating. :) But want some pleasures ...
Heating
I also learned the importance of central heating, or, rather, the absence of it.
No heating means less expenditure per family, less infrastructure, simpler and faster construction projects, et cetera, et cetera.
That means more money can be spent on useful things like education or a few pints of Singha beer.
